Since I have no idea whether the gods use their own voices to speak or using the voice of the person they are possessing, I’m just going to address the gods with the pronouns according to which gender they are possessing at that moment. I will only make an exception when the story mentioned any of their lore from the mythology.

Introduction

• Side day time

It has been 10 years since the gods destroyed it.
1.5 billion people died.
One third of the Eurasian continent had disappeared.
Even if more than twenty countries are destroyed.
People are still stubbornly living on.

Charlotte Labpeyn——-and I are one of them.

I’m 17 years old this year that is living in a school’s dorm apart from my parents.
Which is on a solitary Island surrounded by distant sea.

I came here a year ago.
This unusual living is still confusing as ever.
But nevertheless, I still intend to play it out for the time being.
A reasonable school life.
A reasonable harmony.
A reasonable regular life.

Everyday I looked at the ocean from the class’ window.
The kind of everyday where it seems like that incident that happened ten years ago is just a dream.
I was completely relieved.

However one day,  when I became a second year student.
That fake tranquility that is about to end have been signaled.
The deception and reality that was hidden by both the world and the school were revealed.
And I got dragged into it.

With the gods.
With the war after school.
With the person I met in this school and his story.

This is about the gods’ proxy war and the story about a boy and girl.
This is a story of my love.

• Side Night time

It had been ten years since the mythical gods have descended to the surface.
We still have a war to finish.
My name is Brynhildr.
A female knight in heaven.
The Valkyrie of victory.
Bearing that name, I was intending to fight.
In this war that is reaching it’s third milestone.
The third Mythical Representative War.
However.

I met this guy at school under the moonlight and my fate drastically changed.

I was humiliatingly named and forced into submission.
By the power of his left eye.
I looked into his eyes and became his puppet.
He treats me like a piece in chess, dominantly advancing into battle.
On the battlefield where I faced I own dignity, that method is a coward and abhorrent move.
…….However.
Wonder why.
It feels like he is not only being mean.
His hatred for the gods was scorched into his body.
Is it because I saw sorrow in his right eye?
Or.
Is it because I feel something from him?

Either way, now I’m just a piece.
As his piece, as his sword.
If that’s the case, let’s at least take down our enemies under our alias.
Till the day there is only one god left standing.

This story about the gods’ hegemony with the war that there are waging and between god and man.

Keyword

• Mythical War

10 years ago, mythological gods descended down to Earth to claim the position of [True God] by inducing war. Due to this battle, one-third of the Eurasian continent was gone. More than twenty countries had vanish, more than 1.50 billion people were killed. The battle ended in three days, and the Sacrament Control Organization announced that the gods had disappeared to somewhere.

• Mythical Proxy War

The gods realized that their battle had destroyed the world itself made a deal with humans. Once every three years, the school in Laurasia island will unfold the proxy war in secrecy. It’s existence has been kept a secret for those outside the school as well as for the students in general.

• Divine Compatibility User

Boys and girls are chosen as the god’s vessels. In order for the gods to manifest on Earth, they need a body. Gods can use Divinity Compatibility Users as receptacles for the gods to conduct the mythical representative war. Those boys and girls have no rights to object, souls of gods will be entrusted to host’s body and in special cases, their personality will be destroyed as well.

•  Laurasia Island

Waters from the Arctic Ocean flows into the large hole created by the broken Eurasian Continent, the artificial island was created in the center of the newly formed ocean.

• School

The place where boys and girls receive their education on Laurasia Island.

• Sacrament Management Organization (Eucharistia)

A rapidly prominent organization after the mythical war. Leaving the destruction of the post war period to the church, they gain the authority to controlling and dealing with the news regulations that were all related to the war. In order to get rid of the divinity phenomenon from the remains on the battlefield with efforts of restoring the damage from the war, despite the numerous organization, the recognition from the public was high.

• Night Time

It’s especially called the time in after school  when the sun sets. The Eucharstia Control Management calculates the time for the sun to set everyday and announces it to the students. At night, the entire island, except the dorm, becomes a stage for the proxy war. The spirit world will be lifted along with the sunrise, all the things and buildings that were destroyed during the battle will be fully restored.

• [Regalia]

Refers to the ability of the weapons and attire symbolized by the gods. Those who have the knowledge will eventually obtain immense power, got hold of the [Regalia] and  kill each other.

• Balor’s Evil Eye

A god in the Celtic Mythology that uses evil eye as his [Regalia]. LethalㆍDomination ㆍPetrificationㆍIllusion. Foresight etc etc etc………..The lord of the evil eye had prepared his powers from the folklore that exist in every part of the world.

Character

Shinsen Raika

• 10 years ago, the gods kidnapped his little sister. Since then he entered the church’s facility to received training as the heresy subjugation force in order to search for his little sister and take revenge on the gods. He enroll into the school so that he could investigate the Sacrament Control Organisation that the church is having a conflict with and became the 「King of the Evil eye」, Balor’s Divine Compatibility User. He is calm and collected, but his hatred for the gods are second to none. He is proficient in the study of foreign language and his hobby is doing crossword puzzles in foreign language.

Balor

• Being famed as the 「King of the Evil Eye」of the the great Celtic devil. It’s the Evil Eye that rule every time and place. His personalities are pleasure seeking, corrupted and catastrophic. He is an extraordinary moody person that prioritize instant pleasure. Rather than his personal future, he wish for entirety disintegration.He is currently dwelling inside of Raika, there is a discrepancy between the both of them and there is no end to their quarrels but even then Balor is in a state of amusement.

Charlotte Labpeyn

• A girl that is one year older than Raika and the others.She is being called as the [Bookshelf’s Silver fairy] due to her appearance and her time in the library.She became a vessel of Brynhildr and got dragged into the proxy war where she was saved by Raika. Although previously she wasn’t good towards the opposite sex, but her heart was forgiven because Raika was her benefactor. Or rather, she could sense the obligation, but it’s embarrassing for her to convey that.

Brynhildr

• The Valkyrie that holds the rune of victory.Respect for her chivalry, she wished to fight fair and settle fairly even in the mythical representative war. However, she was defeated in the beginning and was [dominated] by the Evil Eye, force into complete submission and obey his command hereafter. She intends to remain hidden, but has an extraordinary interest for sweet things.

Maria Mint

• A junior who is in the same church facility as Raika. Hence she calls him [Raika-sempai] despite being of the same age.She enrolled into the school as his backup, basically taking action together. Normally gentle and modest, but when they are alone, she tends to spoil him. Somewhat strong reliance.

Shishigane Ruirui

• Raika’s classmate.She is very open and has many excessive physical contact towards Raika. Although she is warned by Maria whenever she tries to do something to Raika, she has no intention of changing.

Tenka

• Raika’s classmate and the class chairperson.Despite her appearance, she is a talented girl who is fluent is seven language, has a good relationship with people and is loved by everyone.She is always the bright mood maker, but loves practical joke to a certain extend as well. Recently has love to tease Charlotte-senpai.

Kunisaki Kojiro

• Raika’s classmate and a bad companion.Although they became friends since he entered the academy, but they get along well unexpectedly. Towards his lazy attitude and laughing it off, everyone does make a retort about it, but no one really hates him.
  After immediately enrolling into school, he built network of database about pretty girls  in school with the seniors.

• A girl who Raika occasionally encounters in school—–

• Charlotte’s classmate Nadeko is searching the whereabouts of her little sister Himeko, who has disappeared.
